James Stewart Man from Laramie Short Corduroy Coat

Short corduroy coat worn by Stewart in the 1955 film The Man from Laramie, Light brown coat features metal buttons up the front and a Western Costume Company tag sewn into the collar, bearing Stewart’s typed name and production number. The left breast pocket is stained and burned from the fire dragging scene. In fine condition, with intentional distress to pocket. Worn throughout the film, this jacket is featured on all the poster art, and an original lobby card and color still from the film are included. Stewart claimed this was his favorite of his Western films and second only to It’s A Wonderful Life as his best overall. RR Auction COA.
